We are searching for a Deputy CTO/Tech Lead professional for our Newage Web Team, which will work directly under the CEO and will act as both a technology and business expert, making decisions that will impact the current and future operations of the company.

We consider candidates with ability of relocation to Tbilisi, Georgia.


Requirements

  • In-depth experience with the following technologies: React, JS, NodeJS, Express, GraphQL;
  • Experience in technical leadership and people management;
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills;
  • Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills;
  • Agile development experience;
  • Good knowledge of English language (written and spoken);
  • Willingness and readiness to work in multinational environment;

Responsibilities

  • Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company;
  • Ensuring that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs;
  • Outline the goals for research and development;
  • Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services;
  • Making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements;
  • Acting as a mentor to team members;
  • Managing and monitoring team of developers, analysts and quality assurance managers ;
  • Create architectural solutions considering project`s general infrastructure, strategy and goals;
  • Act as an enterprise/system architect, release manager, head of development and a QA team;
  • Define goals for standardizing documentation for business analysis, defining strategy and tech stack for Test-driven development (TDD), standardizing source control branching and code review processes;
  • Participate in IT staff recruitment and define Job descriptions for specified roles;
  • Introducing technical architecture to new hired employees;
  • Initiator and owner of staff's development process. Define syllabus and monitor progress;
  • Audit process of front-end applications’ architecture and start recurrence process of refactoring for reducing accumulated technical debt;
  • Supervise incident, problem and change management processes;
  • Active member of a team involved in analyzing and troubleshooting problems in production environment;
  • Resolving architectural and development issues, thereby assisting businesses in achieving their objectives more effectively;

  • Knowledge of K8s, NextJS, NestSJ, AWS, PHP;
